Kyei Nwom, one of Ghana’s fast rising stars has released his first EP titled “The Soar” five years after appearing on the popular reality music show MTN Hitmaker. Although he did not win the competition, Kyei has continued to pursue music professionally.
Kyei Nwom is a Highlife artist ,songwriter and guitarist. Music has always been his passion, from his days at Accra Academy where he learnt to play the guitar. Officially, his music journey started in 2016 when He joined MTN Hitmaker 5.
The Soar Ep is Kyei Nwom’s debut ep .He calls it Soar because after obtaining his undergraduate degree, he has all the blessings of his parents to pursue music as a career. The EP talks about the fun and sad moments young people go through in their relationships. This masterpiece was released on Friday 22nd October 2021 across streaming platforms.
He completed UCC this year and is done with his national service. This is his first major project out of school.
Apart from this EP, Kyei has 6 songs out; Damebi, Love Me, Akonoba, Agatha, Agoro and So Mu Yie. As an independent artist , he has performed and is open to performing at events. Like every other independent artist, he is open to working with investors to push his craft across a wider scope.
The Soar EP has been released to critical acclaim, getting Kyei listed as one of the fast rising stars on the Ghanaian music scene by streaming giant Boomplay.
