Akwoaboah releases new song ‘Ensesa’

AKwoaboah

Award winning Singer-Songwriter Akwaboah on Friday 11TH June 2021 released “Ensesa”, the first single off the much anticipated “Lighthouse” album.

“Ensesa” which translates to ‘Do not change’ is a love song rooted in Highlife, a genre originating from Ghana. The song also has elements of Afro-Soul, both genres held together by a beautiful Saxophone base.

The lyrics and composition of “Ensesa” speaks to the timelessness of love, a mood that is captured through the music video also released on Friday 11th June. The video pays homage to the family sitcoms from the 80’s and 90’s and features Akwaboah as the object of interest of the Adusei family, particularly mother and daughter.

“Ensesa” definitely sets a positive tone for what would be the most anticipated album out of Ghana in 2021 and is a song both old and young demographics will connect to and enjoy for years to come.

Akwaboah has heralded the “Lighthouse” Album as a rebirth of good music and promised taking fans through an eclectic collection of different genres like Highlife, Afrobeat, Afro-Soul and Afro-Pop. A Lovers Rock anthem is in the works as part of the Album.

“Lighthouse” is the first major project for Akwaboah since he produced the critically acclaimed “Mary” album for Sarkodie and followed with his own ‘Matters of the Heart’ Album in 2018.
The Album showcases Akwaboah’s prowess as a Singer – Songwriter, Producer and Performer.

“Ensesa” is available on all digital platforms.
