Young Ghanaian act Black Sherif has made the news as the first Ghanaian artist to make it to the number one spot on the Nigerian top 100 songs list on Apple Music. Simultaneously, he is on the Ghanaian top 100 list with his new song “Kwaku The Traveller” less than 24 hours after its release.

This comes on the heels of Black Sherif’s amazing performance at the just ended 3Music Awards where he was the second most awarded artist for the night. For a new act, he seems to be breaking records with his music and doesn’t show any signs of stopping.
Black’s claim to fame is his Second Sermon song, a song which took the Ghanaian airwaves by storm and landed him a remix collaboration with Nigerian superstar Burna Boy. Even with the considerable Twi content of the song, it earned him some Nigerian fans who seem to have fallen in love with him, judging by the progress of his latest release.
