Caveman Watches, Ghana’s watch manufacturing outfit has been awarded Brand of the Year at the just ended Emy Africa Awards.
The watch making company was launched in December 2018 by Anthony Dzamefe and has risen over the years to become a reputable luxury brand both in Africa and across the world.
Before he started Caveman, Mr. Dzamefe ran TimepieceGh from 2015. With just GHC50, he started to buy and sell replica watches in Accra , leading him to gain an interest in acquiring original watches for sale. This interest further evolved into wanting to make his own watches, birthing the Caveman brand.
Since it’s launch, the brand has been purchased and received endorsements from people like the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and other known personalities like Akon, Don Jazzy , Azuma Nelson and many others
American media giant The New York Times also acknowledged Caveman as a fast-rising global watch brand putting Ghana on the world map in terms of luxury watch brands.
Earlier this year, Caveman Watches emerged the 2021 Product of the year at the 2021 Ghana Manufacturing Awards held at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra in recognition of the company’s exploits in the watch manufacturing industry, and also for being a responsible firm that advocates for best business practices in the field.
As part of their corporate social responsibilities, Caveman Watches through their Caveman Foundation – Africa Water Project is on a mission to provide potable water for rural communities in Ghana.
