Ex-President of Germany, Christian Wulff, Visits AmaliTech’s Accra Office

AmaliTech had the pleasure of welcoming the former President of Germany, Christian Wulff, at its Accra office. This memorable visit highlights the important role of international collaboration in addressing global challenges in technology, workforce development, and digital innovation.

During the visit, Mr. Wulff engaged with Management and staff of AmaliTech, discussing the organization’s transformative contributions to job creation and digital skills training in Africa. He commended AmaliTech as a model of success that benefits both Ghana and Germany:
“Ghana is a country with a strong education system and many motivated young individuals. Meanwhile, Europe’s young population is declining sharply. We need the exceptional training and talent of young Ghanaians to drive innovation in our companies. This is a win-win situation for Ghana and Germany.”

AmaliTech’s Vision and Impact
Since its inception in 2019, AmaliTech has trained over 2,000 individuals in fields such as software development, data science, quality assurance, and cybersecurity, with plans to train an additional 1,000 professionals by 2025. The company employs approximately 500 people, with the majority based in Ghana, serving clients across Europe and the United States.

Matthew Darkwa, the Director of Operations at AmaliTech highlighted the importance of leveraging Africa’s talent pool:
“Our new resource as a country is our youth. Europe faces a significant shortage of digital talent, and Ghana is well-positioned to fill that gap. With strong foundational education, we need to invest in skills development to meet global demands. This visit by the former president demonstrates that Ghanaian businesses can rise to this challenge, and with the right support, we can continue creating jobs and driving economic growth.”

A Catalyst for Future Growth
The discussions also touched on Ghana’s potential as a hub for digital transformation, with Mr. Wulff emphasizing the opportunities for deeper collaboration between Ghana and Germany. AmaliTech’s partnerships with global leaders such as AWS and Deutsche Telekom were recognized as crucial to fostering innovation and building a sustainable workforce.

This visit reflects AmaliTech’s mission to bridge the digital divide, empower communities, and strengthen global partnerships for mutual benefits.
