Life has not been easy for Daniel. For him, it has been moving from one struggle to the other just to make ends meet.
For some reason, he kept moving on with the hope that he would see light at the end of the tunnel.
Early childhood
Daniel was born to peasant parents in Jamasi in the Ashanti region. He had to combine school and doing menial jobs to help his parents. He sold kerosene, ice cream, vegetables, and even had to be a head porter what most people call ‘kayaye’ in major markets at Agona, Mampong, Ejura Wiamoase to help take care of his younger siblings. His father had aged and weak to do any job and his mum had no better job
He had his primary and junior high school education at Jamasi Presby School and graduated as the best student in BECE in his year group in 1997
Whilst in senior high school at Adu Gyamfi SHS in Jamasi, Daniel was learning how to do barbering, carpentry and sign writing. He just did not let any opportunity pass by.
Life after Senior High School
Daniel could not go the tertiary after completing Adu Gyamfi SHS. He had to work as a house help in Tema. At this point he thought, that was the end of him.
Fortunately, his mother got a job as a cleaner in a rural Bank and her meager salary could only help Daniel study HND Accountancy at Kumasi Polytechnic. After completing Kumasi polytechnic in 2005, Daniel had a stint with Kumasi polytechnic Internal Audit.
The breakthrough
Things started getting better as he got more job offers and had the opportunity to work at Sekyere Rural Bank Ntonso Branch, Prudential Bank Accounts department, Calbank, Finance and Audit departments of Barclays Bank (now ABSA Bank)
He is currently working as an Internal Auditor at Consolidated Bank Ghana.
Daniel whiles working pursued a Post Graduate diploma with Paris Graduate School of Management, MBA with the University of Applied Management and he also qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana.
He is married with two beautiful children and he is forever grateful to his mum, late dad and his wife for the support.
