Women in PR Ghana has announced the appointment of its new Executive Committee for the 2026–2027 term, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s ongoing efforts to advance women’s leadership in public relations and strategic communications.
The new leadership team follows a rigorous selection process and is expected to provide strategic direction for the professional network over the next two years. The committee will focus on strengthening mentorship, professional development, and visibility for women in the communications industry, while contributing to the growth and relevance of public relations practice in Ghana and beyond.
Josephine Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny, an Accredited Public Relations professional and member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, has been appointed President. She will be supported by Ohenewaa Brown as Vice President. The other members of the Executive Committee are Gwendy Laryea as Finance Coordinator, Deborah Bonney as Events Coordinator, Adisa A. as Senior Communications and Diaspora Relations Coordinator, and Gloria Apprey as Communications Coordinator.
Speaking on the new appointments, Women in PR Ghana expressed confidence that the incoming executives will build on the strong foundations laid by previous leadership. The organization highlighted the committee’s role in shaping inclusive narratives, supporting emerging professionals, and positioning Ghanaian women communicators on national, continental, and global platforms.
The new Executive Committee is expected to prioritise capacity building initiatives, thought leadership programmes, and strategic partnerships aimed at empowering women and inspiring the next generation of public relations leaders.
