Kenneth Aidam Named PR Discovery of the Year at 2025 IPR Excellence Awards

The Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana has honoured rising industry professional Kenneth Aidam with the PR Discovery of the Year Award at its 2025 National PR Summit and Excellence Awards held in Takoradi.

The recognition places Kenneth among the most promising voices shaping the future of public relations and strategic communications in Ghana.

Kenneth Aidam is a strategic communications and sustainability professional with nearly a decade of proven impact across the financial, petroleum, and FMCG sectors in West Africa. He currently serves as Communications Manager for FanMilk West Africa (Danone), where he leads regional communication programmes that strengthen brand value, deepen employee engagement, and align internal and external stakeholders with the company’s broader business objectives.

Before joining FanMilk, Kenneth headed the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) function at UBA Ghana Ltd, where he championed climate-action initiatives, led sustainability reporting, and introduced the bank’s first-ever braille account-opening forms—an inclusion milestone that expanded financial accessibility for visually impaired customers.

His earlier role at Vivo Energy Ghana (Shell licensee) saw him manage corporate communications, coordinate crisis response, and drive sustainability interventions that enhanced the company’s reputation and licence to operate.

Widely admired for his clarity, collaborative leadership style, and results-driven approach, Kenneth continues to influence positive change within organisations and across the industry. He is also an alumnus of the YALI Regional Leadership Center and a passionate mentor committed to helping young people maximise volunteering, internships, and academic opportunities.
