Twellium Industrial Company Limited received two awards at the 6th National Business Honours & Expo, held on 5 September 2026 at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
The company’s social-impact arm, the Twellium Foundation, received the Excellence in Community Impact award, while Rosa Premium Glass Water was named Premium Mineral Water Brand of the Year.
The recognition of Twellium followed a series of interventions in healthcare, education and community development. Established in 2016, the foundation supports disadvantaged individuals and communities through projects implemented independently and through initiatives such as Verna Changing Lives. This confirms Twelluim’s position as an SDG and Agenda 2063 advocate.
Healthcare has been a major focus of Verna Changing Lives. In partnership with the Ghana Medical Association, the initiative has provided medical equipment to health facilities and supported treatment for patients unable to meet the cost of critical medical care.
Twellium and Zipline in a one-year partnership (2025 – 2026) sought to help save more than 10,000 lives through increased blood donations and timely access to blood products for patients in need.
The campaign, which featured blood donation exercises in various parts of the country including Tamale and Kumasi, brought together hundreds of volunteers and encouraged greater public participation in voluntary blood donation.
In 2025 alone, Zipline performed more than 4,300 blood deliveries, delivering more than 5,000 units of blood to 96 health facilities across the country, helping to mitigate shortages and improve emergency response for maternal health cases, accident victims, children, and critically ill patients.
This has resulted in national efforts to create a sustainable blood supply system based on voluntary unpaid donations, by combining Twellium’s community mobilisation efforts, Zipline’s logistics expertise, and leadership from the National Blood Service.
Twellium also donated four infant incubators and four phototherapy devices to eight health facilities in Ghana. The equipment was provided to support neonatal care and help improve health outcomes for premature and vulnerable newborns. Beneficiary facilities included the Tamale West Hospital and Sunyani Municipal Hospital.
The initiative has also funded surgical and medical treatment for individuals with serious health conditions. One beneficiary received financial assistance for heart surgery at the National Cardiothoracic Centre after being diagnosed with a left atrial myxoma. Other health-related projects associated with the company include the construction of a canteen, drainage infrastructure and a perimeter wall at the Kaneshie Polyclinic.
Beyond healthcare, the Twellium Foundation has undertaken educational and community-development projects. One of the foundation’s recent major community initiatives was the construction of a modern meat shop in Tamale in December 2025 to support local commerce and improve livelihoods.
The foundation has sponsored Ghana’s national amputee football team, helping to promote disability inclusion, sporting development and greater recognition for athletes with disabilities. These interventions form part of the foundation’s broader commitment to healthcare, education, economic empowerment and inclusive community development.
The foundation has also supported public education on health and social issues, including autism, cancer, HIV/AIDS and drug abuse. Its interventions form part of Twellium’s broader corporate social responsibility programme in Ghana.
