GCB Bank Serves Breakfast to Customers Across 180+ Branches

Ghana’s number one bank, GCB Bank is welcoming customers at all its over 180 branches with complimentary breakfast, a chance to win branded souvenirs and other gifts, and a festive atmosphere in banking halls across the country. This runs throughout Customer Service Week and is designed to thank customers in a memorable way and make everyday banking more enjoyable.

There is no standard menu, as each branch has created its own spread. The Labone Branch served an assortment of fresh fruits, while the Tetteh Quarshie Branch offered hot beverages and cookies. Elsewhere in other regions, customers have enjoyed oats, porridge, cereals, pastries, fruit juices, sandwiches, spring rolls, chicken nuggets and other finger foods.

With no two branches alike, customers don’t know what awaits them until they walk in, and that element of surprise has become part of the fun.

Cynthia E. Ofori-Dwumfuo, Chief Marketing, Communications and Customer Experience Officer, GCB Bank PLC said: “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and Customer Service Month is our way of saying a heartfelt thank you. This year’s theme, ‘The Extra Mile,’ is a commitment to going beyond the expected every day. The breakfast activation is just the start. Throughout October, our customers will see and feel that commitment at every touchpoint, from our branches to our Customer Service Centre.”

She added: “Every customer who walks through our doors is part of the GCB story. We want them to leave with a reminder that they are valued.”

This year, GCB Bank has expanded its customer service celebrations from a single week to the whole of October. The extended programme spans branches, communities and online channels, creating more opportunities for customers to engage with the Bank and share their experiences. Highlights include:

Customer Town Hall: A platform for customers to share their views directly with the Bank’s leadership.

Executive branch visits: Members of the Executive Committee are visiting selected branches to meet customers and staff and gain first-hand insight into their everyday experiences.

Patrons Appreciation Day: A day to recognise longstanding customer relationships.

GCB Aerobics Fiesta: An event bringing customers together through fitness and wellness.

The calendar also features branch appreciation programmes and customer education sessions.

Together, these activities reflect the Bank’s drive to put customers at the centre of the conversation and deliver experiences that go beyond traditional banking.

Breakfast continues at GCB branches until Friday, October 9, so customers still have time to stop by their nearest branch and join in.
