If there was ever a week when GCB felt like a school reunion, cultural festival and community gathering all rolled into one, this was it.
As part of Customer Service Month, staff across the Bank embraced a series of themed dress days that brought energy, creativity and plenty of conversation to branches and offices nationwide. From school colours and traditional wear to profession-inspired outfits, each day offered a different way for colleagues to connect, celebrate and have fun.

School Pride and Cultural Heritage on Display
One of the most memorable moments came during Alma Mater Day, when staff proudly represented their former schools. Branches quickly turned into reunion grounds as colleagues discovered shared school connections, exchanged memories and engaged in friendly debates over whose school was best.
Traditional Day was equally vibrant, with staff showcasing Ghana’s rich cultural heritage through colourful attire that reflected the diversity of the people behind GCB’s success.

Walking in Our Customers’ Shoes
The week ended with Customers’ Profession Day, where staff dressed as the customers they serve every day, including teachers, doctors, traders, lawyers, engineers and entrepreneurs.
Beyond the costumes and laughter, the day served as a reminder that every customer has unique goals, ambitions and challenges. Understanding those stories is at the heart of delivering exceptional service.
More Than a Dress Code
The themed week was about more than clothing. It created opportunities for colleagues to build stronger connections, celebrate their diversity and appreciate the communities they serve.
The activity formed part of GCB’s Customer Service Month celebration under the theme “The Extra Mile,” which also includes customer appreciation engagements, leadership visits to branches, customer education sessions, the Customer Town Hall, Patrons Appreciation Day and the GCB Aerobics Fiesta.
Most importantly, the week reminded us that great customer service starts with people. For one colourful week, GCB colleagues brought that message to life with pride, creativity and plenty of smiles.
