AmaliTech Opens New Office in Kumasi to Expand Digital Skills Training and Employment Opportunities

AmaliTech, a global technology company dedicated to digital skills training and employment, officially opened its new office in Kumasi, marking a significant milestone in its mission to nurture Ghanaian talent and integrate them into the global digital economy. The inauguration ceremony, held at Ahodwo, was attended by key representatives from organizations including Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Deutsche Telekom, Recell Ghana Computer Labs, Cal Bank, SOS Children’s Village, CAMFED, and the Ghana Free Zones Authority.

The event highlighted AmaliTech’s commitment to bridging the gap between Ghana’s vibrant youth and global opportunities in technology. Speaking at the ceremony, Martin Hecker, Founder and CEO of AmaliTech, reflected on his initial visit to Kumasi in 2018 and how the city convinced him of the immense potential of Ghana’s tech talent. “Kumasi has always been at the heart of Ghana’s talent pool, and I am proud that today we are expanding our footprint here. With this new office, we aim to create more jobs, drive innovation, and position Ghana as a key player in the global IT services industry,” Martin Hecker stated. He emphasized AmaliTech’s vision to provide employment to 10,000 people in the coming years, underscoring the company’s rapid growth and ambition.

Janine Rensmann, Senior Vice President at Deutsche Telekom, emphasized the strength of the partnership between Deutsche Telekom and AmaliTech, noting that the collaboration is a testament to shared values of innovation, inclusion, and global impact. “By connecting Deutsche Telekom with Ghana’s exceptional talents, we are addressing the skill shortage in Europe while fostering a strong and sustainable ecosystem in Ghana. This partnership goes beyond employment; it is about preparing a future ready workforce and contributing to a globally connected world,” she remarked.

Representing His Royal Majesty, the Asantehene, Nana Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Nana Boakye Yam Ababio lauded the opening[EA1]  of the Kumasi office as a symbol of hope and progress. He commended AmaliTech’s commitment to free training programs that equip aspiring IT professionals with world-class skills, further ensuring that young people in the region can participate in and benefit from the digital economy. “This initiative is a bridge between our youth and global opportunities, and we look forward to witnessing its positive impact on our communities. The Manhyia Palace will continue to support this vision and the remarkable work being done by AmaliTech,” he affirmed.

The opening of the Kumasi office reinforces AmaliTech’s goal of expanding its footprint in Ghana, following the success of its offices in Accra and Takoradi. With this new office, AmaliTech aims to provide more training and employment opportunities, fostering a culture of innovation, teamwork, and resilience among Ghana’s tech professionals.
