In Ghana’s accounting and finance space, dual recognition from two of the most respected global and national accounting bodies is a rare and prestigious feat. Kwaku Baah-Adade has achieved just that—earning chartered status with both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), a distinction attained by only a select few in the country.

Awarded in 2022, Kwaku’s dual qualification marks years of academic rigour, professional excellence, and personal discipline. Each path—ACCA and ICAG—requires candidates to pass a series of comprehensive and demanding examinations in subjects ranging from financial reporting and audit to corporate governance and strategic leadership. Furthermore, both bodies mandate a minimum of three years of supervised, relevant work experience, ensuring that members are not only academically sound but also professionally competent.
Kwaku’s journey was powered by a solid professional foundation at Deloitte, one of the world’s foremost professional services firms. His work in assurance, financial advisory, and technical accounting positioned him as a formidable figure in the field—combining deep local insight with international best practices.

Speaking after the ICAG graduation ceremony, Kwaku reflected on the dual journey:
“It wasn’t easy at all,” he said. “Each pathway had its own challenges. The exams were intense and stretched over several years. But beyond that, I had to back it all with practical experience.”
His success is a compelling symbol of resilience and determination. It also reflects a broader vision—raising the standard of financial leadership in Ghana through discipline, excellence, and global competence.
More than a personal milestone, Kwaku Baah-Adade’s achievement is a powerful inspiration to aspiring finance professionals across the country. As global standards continue to influence local markets, his dual designation serves as a benchmark for what’s possible when skill, sacrifice, and ambition converge.
