Erica Maame Abena Pomaa Ntiamoah Mensah is a newly minted medical doctor in Ghana. Since her childhood, she has always wanted to be a medical doctor. It therefore comes as no surprise that at the tender age of 21, Erica has graduated from medical school and is set to pursue her passion.
Every step of hers has been in this direction, starting from her basic school education at Mary Mother of Good Counsel School, her junior high school education at the Ridge Church school and even her senior high school education at Achimota Senior High School where she studied general science in preparation towards higher education in medicine.
After high school, Erica was offered admission at the Accra College of Medicine. In her own words, Medical school was not a walk in the park. It was involving, tasking, challenging and rigorous but by God’s grace, she was able to surmount all the challenges. Graduating at 21, she counts this as her biggest achievement so far and hopes to achieve more in the near future.
Born to Dr Eric Ntiamoah Mensah, a medical doctor, Erica was exposed to medicine at an early age and grew to appreciate and love with the profession. She developed a passion for helping people with regards to health and with her father’s encouragement, decided to get into medicine.
With her father directing her to pursue relevance and not money, Erica has aligned her work philosophy with this advice , and plans to pursue relevance , study more ,go higher and endeavor in any field or activity that would make her relevant to society and positively impact the lives of the underprivileged , women and children.
