Over the last few weeks, Izzat El Khawaja, also known as Hitman Izzy in social media circles has been trending on social media for some seemingly unusual personal sentiments. This has landed him on blogs and tabloids, putting a spotlight on some aspects of his personal life. But only a few people know the man behind the viral tweets.
The 27-year-old man is Ghanaian-Lebanese and was born in Accra, Ghana. Since he was a child, he has wanted to travel the world and now works with a factory that manufactures plastic products.
Izzat has 5 siblings and though his dad is late, his mom lives here in Ghana. To him, Ghana is a peaceful country, very hospitable, has great food and awesome culture and if given the chance, he would like to change people’s mentality and the way they view things as well as the government for the betterment of the country.
Though Izzat has had personal failures, he believes that by working on himself to become a better version of the one he didn’t like has been the sure way to overcome them. Ultimately, he has achieved all he hoped for.
“My past is a form of inspiration to me because I look at it in the right context. A lot of people see their past as a bad place they never want to return to; some obsess over it so much they are still living in it. And their present actions reflect that. But when I see the past, even the parts I don’t like, I use it as a source of inspiration” he says.
With almost 50,000 followers on Twitter, Izzy is a bonafide internet celebrity.
