Nana Yaa has previously worked as the Head of Marketing for Africa Emerging Markets, a South-Africa based company responsible for 24 markets including Angola, Cameroon, DRC, Mauritius, Gabon and Southern African markets. In 2016, she was appointed the Brand Building Director at Unilever Ghana and a year later in 2017, she was appointed the Beauty and Personal Care Director for Unilever Ghana & Nigeria.

She has led the beauty and personal care unit to significantly impact Unilever’s growth over the years, accounting for significant portfolio expansion in the skin care, skin cleanse and oral health subcategories while key products such as Pepsodent and Geisha maintained their market dominance.

With over 18 years worth of experience in marketing, it is no wonder that her work and contribution has been critical to driving the market share growth of Unilever brands. Unilever’s Geisha and Pepsodent brands also won the Iconic Brand of the Year and the Family Brand of the Year Gold awards respectively with the marketing team taking the Silver award in the Marketing Team of the Year category.

Her recognition at the MWA is well-deserved in light of her leadership and brilliance.
