Achimota School Wins 2022 Orators Inter-School Public Speaking Championship

Two students at Achimota School, Frederick Arko and Konadu Kwasi Etsiakoh, have made their institution proud by winning the 2022 edition of the Orators Inter-School Public Speaking Championship.

The contest had 24 contestants representing 12 schools from 5 regions who battled it out with thought-provoking and creative speeches in 3 exciting speaking rounds.

Achimota, Legacy Girls College, Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School and Chemu Senior High School, advanced to the final round after two competitive rounds with Achimota emerging as the overall winner.

Achimota School was crowned overall winners for their impressive performance at Persuasive round. Legacy Girls’ College came in close 2nd followed by Presbyterian Boys’ and Chemu.

The Orators Championship is an inter-high school programme designed to foster the cognitive, critical thinking and expression of students.

The maiden edition that was held in 2021 saw Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School emerge as the first winners of the competition that has the dream of getting bigger over the years and bringing on more participating schools
