Award-winning digital marketer and blogger Edward Asare over the weekend delivered a talk at the 2021 Bloggers Summit organised by Avance Media. Speaking on a panel of other bloggers and digital entrepreneurs, Edward talked about building a brand and career from blogging.
This year’s summit was focused on topics such as “Techniques in blogging that sustain blogs and their brands”, “Future of digital publishing and the promotion of citizen journalism,” “Digital/Misinformation literacy for Bloggers, “Building a brand using the 8 marketing tools,” “The Impact of Blogging on Ghanaian Tourism” among many others.
A few points from Edward Asare’s submission were:
1. Consistently share content
2. Do PR for your brand too
3. Find a niche and constantly share content on it
4. Grow a social media audience
5. Desist from false information. That’s how you lose credibility

The inaugural Bloggers Summit was held in 2019, with famous Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji as keynote speaker. Other previous speakers include Nana Aba Anamoah, Patrice Amegashie, Ameyaw Debrah, Ismail Akwei, Jemila Abdulai, Papaga Seckloawu Bless, Eugene Osafo-Nkansah and Elorm Beenie.
