Emma Forson, a mechanical engineer, model, and fashion designer, is the founder and team lead at ELNAK Recycle, a company dedicated to reducing clutter and promoting sustainability by offering services to divert textile waste from landfills in Africa.

ELNAK Recycle is a textile waste management company that provides access to an enjoyable and eco-friendly approach to dealing with textile and fabric waste. They achieve this through their decluttering, upcycling, and recycling services. “I embarked on this venture after recognizing certain shortcomings in my consumer lifestyle, which had been influenced by my surroundings and took years to develop,” explains Emma. ELNAK also aims to empower the community it serves, such as implementing a sewing training program for selected Kayayoo women working with the company, with plans to expand this initiative in the future.

Having received esteemed recognition from organizations like GRIPE, I.S Media S.r.l, Sky Italia, Myjoyonline, Yfm, B&FT, Ashesi University, MEST, Unicef Startup Lab, Fashionomics, The OR foundation, and Untamed Empire, Emma is not only a TEDx speaker but also an award-winning entrepreneur. She combines her creative and engineering skills to tackle contemporary challenges in our world.
