Here is her response to some questions in an interview with Edward Asare

What’s your name, educational, and career background?

Françes Adjei (nee Essilfie-Conduah), best known by my preferred name Franca. A graduate of Anglia Ruskin University with an HND in Business and Finance,East London University with a BA in Business Administration and an AAT Foundation inbaccounting at BPP University. With this background, I have worked in the finance departments of many firms and taking on roles like Finance Lead and Project Coordinator.

What or who is the Inspiration behind what you are doing?

As a mother of two wonderful girls they are naturally, my inspiration.  They have become my driving force in everything I do. My time in this rich land – Ghana has enhanced my great eye for the arts and augmented the creative entrepreneur in me.

What is peculiar about what you do and how do you stand out from others?

I created the Jewellery line that is FNEtia out of my love for vibrance and chic.  I have a unique style in that that I strife to be my own person and not follow the crowd.

What can people expect from you this year and what tips or advice do you have for people that want to do what you’re doing?

Following the words of Tyler Perry, to ‘climb and maintain’, neither of which is an easy task, I intend to stay focused and grounded, while challenging myself to keep walking into my purpose, seizing every opportunity and maintaining discipline.

My advice to anyone is no matter how big or small the beginning, take that leap of faith and truly believe in yourself. Have all the fun you can while doing it as a new day is never guaranteed.

Who are some of the people you have worked with or would love to work with and why them?

I have had the privilege of working for some fantastic organisations in my working life. Shell international and my last project at Open Banking. Recently I have worked with some truly amazing designers in all the collaborations I have spearheaded as Creative Director.  I can’t say there are any I would not work with again or have a particular preference to.  Every designer had an amazing talent they brought to the table.  I’m opened to working with anyone with an equal passion for vibrance and chic.

What was the hardest moment for you on your journey that almost made you give up and why did you keep going on, it doesn’t have to be connected to your present status?

Looking for stockists has been challenging and I almost gave up on the agenda, but I realised that they’re just another tool or resource and so I simply geared my efforts towards another resource which has proved better than I anticipated. It’s been too many years of waiting for the right moment and so each time a channel ends, I quickly go into the next and I don’t look back.
