Ghanaian singer, songwriter & performer Solomon Kpabitey Bansah, known in music circles as NeneBi has released a single titled Lonely. According to him, the inspiration behind the song is to imagine veteran singer Kojo Antwi and vocal goddess Efya on a song, culminating in a fusion imitating K. K. Fosu, Nana Fynn or even Bisa K-Dei.
Nene Bi hails from Odumase Krobo in Eastern Region of Ghana and was born and raised in Accra (Nima-Mamobi). The second of five children, he later moved to Michel Camp (Gbetsile) to chase his musical ambitions. He identified his love for music when he was about entering junior high school, getting his start listening to and learning the songs of V.I.P, Akatakyie, Kontehene, PSquare and the likes.
Nene Bi attended the 37 Military Hospital Basic School where he had his primary and junior high education.
In 2005, after the loss of his mother he dropped out of the Ganatta College of Art and Designs in his first year. He later enrolled at the Joegram Computer Institute to study Graphic Design.
Nene Bi is Currently signed to INDEPENDENT STAR RECORDS (i-Star Records) and is very enthusiastic about anything music. He Plays the acoustic guitar and works with many upcoming musicians as a director. His work is centred on the Afro Highlife / R&B genres, telling love stories through his music.
