Naana Ohui Osabutey also known as Naana The Violinist is a product of Methodist Girls’ High School and the University of Ghana, Legon wher she graduated with a BA in Psychology. She is currently a professional violinist, violin tutor, a voice over artist and an online radio host.

Growing up as a child, she wanted to be an actress and a tv presenter. Along the line, she changed her mind and developed interest in Neuropsychology. She has however always loved music, it being a part of her since childhood. She learnt to play the flute and trumpet growing up but fell in love with the violin.

Inspired by famous American violinist Lindsey Stirling, Naana is self-taught. She counts her biggest achievement as learning to play the violin on her own. According to her, it’s not been an easy task considering how far she has come. She has had chances to perform on a lot of big stages and events in Ghana like the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2018 and 2021 , Ghana Gold Expo, 2020 and has featured in lots of music videos and performed with quite a number of artists in Ghana.

The 26-year-old has been nominated for awards like the UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards and the Ghana Youth Awards. Despite the recognition, there have been countless embarrassing moments as well. In her own words,  “…it gets to me sometimes but I keep telling myself, I’ve come too far to give up. My love for what I do always motivates me to get back up and try again.”

Her guiding words have always been “Love what you do and do it with all you’ve got. You never know who’s watching.”
