Nancy Agyemang: Young Lady Who Waited For Six Years Before University Shares Grass To Grace Story In New Book; Ebb And Flow

After moving to Belgium while schooling at Ghana National College, Nancy struggled with learning the Dutch language to enable her gain admission to secondary school in Belgium.

She had to drop out of school several times to help her mum take care of their family.

She did not give up hope as she discovered her passion in designing and everything turned around for her

Here’s her story in a QnA with Edward Asare

What do you do?

I am a designer at my own branding company; NA Brand Solution. I am also a Student at the Thomas More University of Applied Science studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management & Multimedia with specialization in Digital Product Architect.

What or who motivated you to do what you do now?

I wanted to find something doing while I was waiting to go to university, that was how come I got into visual design and I have loved it since especially when I have to solve problems for businesses using design. I love to learn to be better and to keep myself updated.

Your biggest achievement so far?

My biggest achievements are getting into university without a secondary school certificate and writing my book.

Any challenges on your way to attaining your dreams?

I had to wait about 6 years before getting into University.

What motivated you to write your book?

There are so many challenges that I have had to go through and still do but I have come to the understanding that, that is how life is: sometimes you cry, other times you laugh. Accepting both realities will help work towards your dreams regardless without waiting for someone to help you or for brighter days. You can make your days bright even in the dark days. I believe that my story will serve as a source of inspiration to other young people or anyone at all that it is still possible! “Life is never a straight path. It is like the ocean tides: sometimes high, other times low. But however way it turns out, we must go through it to make the full journey worthwhile.” – Nancy Agyemang

Nancy is now a successful designer and owns her own branding company.
