Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Ghana’s longest running award scheme to celebrate music in Ghana has set the ball rolling on its 23rd edition. As usual, the industry awards were held a day before the main event to hand out specific technical awards and set the mood for the second and final day of the event.
The Industry Awards was held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference on May 6, 2022.
A majority of the awards were focused on the technical categories. The voted award categories will be presented on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the same venue.

Artist of the year – KiDi
African Artiste of the Year – Wizkid
Producer of the Year – MOGBeatz
Music for Good – Greedy Men (Stonebwoy)
Instrumentalist of the Year – Joshua Moszi
Music Video of the Year – Bosom PYung – Nyinya
Songwriter of the Year – Fameye (Praise)
Male Vocal Performance – Kwaisey Pee (Amazing God)
Female Vocal Performance – Niella (Where You Are)
Traditional Artiste – Nii Tettey Tetteh
Unsung Artiste – Gambo
The second half of the event will go down tonight, also at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center.
