Wesley Girls High School beat Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School, Legon to become winners of Season IV of the Sharks Quiz on Saturday.
After tying with 75 points each in the final round, Wesley Girls gained an upper hand with the tiebreaker, making them ultimate winners of this season.
Last year, Presec-Legon won the Season III of the Sharks Quiz and were looking to defend their title in this year’s championship. In spite of their impressive performance, they lost to Wesley Girls.
After the first round, the defending champions came out with 30 points more than Wesley Girls, but at the end of the second round, the tables turned and Wesley Girls had a score of 35 against the 5 points of Presec. At the end of Round 3, both schools tied. They tied again at the end of Round 4.
To break the tie, the following question was posed: ‘Between which curves on the longitude does Ghana lie?’ and Wesley Girls proved themselves as worthy winners by answering it correctly.
As their winning prize, Wesley Girls SHS received the Golden Book of Knowledge trophy, a cash prize and souvenirs from sponsors.
